Choosing your favorite medium, you'll draw and/or paint one plant that's in season each week. In our drawings we include the roots or bulb, and learn to letter the plants' common, latin and family names.
When possible, Terry will bring live plants for each student, so you can really see the plant and all it's unique features.
When the weather is lovely - we can sit in the garden of the Plymouth Center for the Arts, under the canopy to hold class.
When the weather is inclement - we'll head indoors. While indoors, it is currently required that we all wear masks.
For this class you will need your favorite medium and the appropriate paper for that medium. I recommend 100 lb. Bristol paper for pen & ink or color pencil. For watercolor, I recommend cold press 140 lb. watercolor paper. (These weights are listed on the front covers of the pads of paper.) Bring your favorite medium and brushes when needed.
