"Keeping It Simple" Pastel Workshop

When starting a painting, there are many factors involved and decisions to make.  This workshop will help you understand the importance of good composition.  Step by step instruction will provide insight to color choices as well as keeping your design simple. Students work from photos.  

Student Supply List

Sanded pastel paper or surface of choice (size is students preference)

Variety of pastels from light to darks (refer to your photo for color choices)

Soft pastel are best for this workshop- Unison, Mount Vision, Terry Ludwig, Great Americans, etc.

Easel (there are easels provided )

Disposable latex gloves (provided)

Masking tape

Glassine to protect work after session

Drop cloth (floor protection )

Sketch book

Landscape photos of choice (instructor will provide some also)

small container for alcohol or water for underpainting

small to medium firm bristle paint brushes
