Since paleolithic man first approached cave walls to scratch and paint images of hunted animals and spirits they sensed, flat surfaces have lured humans to record their impressions of life and invent new images. Across the millennia, artists have appropriated everything from plaster and mud walls to computer screens for this purpose.

This course, taught by artist and educator Roger Honey, will introduce the various media and methods used in drawing, painting, sculpture, craft, and early photography.
