Number of Classes:

The art and craft of bookmaking has been around since humans have had the ability to form letters, write words and needed a place to keep them. Artist books have long been recognized as a legitimate form of creative expression and are becoming increasingly popular in museums and galleries.

In this One-Day Workshop we will explore a number of simple book making and other techniques (handmade boxes, cards and envelopes).  We will fill the books with personal words, thoughts, messages and pictures to keep for yourself or to give as treasured gifts.

A $10 supply fee is included for cardboard and specialty papers, assorted embellishments, ribbons and stickers which will be provided by the instructor and will be available for all to use.

Basic supply list: scissors; several glue sticks; small spray bottle; ruler; pencil; black sharpie pen; colored markers (including gold and silver if you have them); pretty wrapping papers, magazines, old maps and/sheet music if you have any just laying around at home….no need to buy it….we’ll have plenty there.
