Super Simple Watercolors for Beginners (Adults) Zoom
Are you afraid to try watercolor? Terry was too! In this very basic class we will discuss paints, paper, brushes and mixing color. We'll practice painting wet on wet and wet on dry. We will paint very simple objects first and progress to simple scenes. We will be creating small format pieces. 9x12 or 10x14. It's quite easy to create small format pieces in a Zoom class.
Our goal is to give you confidence with watercolor - so you can paint in a sketchbook while out and about - and so you can move up to the other watercolor classes taught by the professionals at the Plymouth Center for the Arts.
Students will need either a travel watercolor kit or a basic set of watercolors, a simple selection of watercolor brushes ranging in size (Round 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and a Flat 11) a drawing pencil (HB or B), a kneaded eraser and watercolor paper. Arches cold press is recommended and comes in both 9x12 or 10x14 sizes.
This class will be held on Zoom. Each week Terry will email the link to the class.
