Watercolor for Beginners

Date: Every Wednesday between Mar 14 and Apr 18 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

During the first four sessions, students will learn basic watercolor techniques through demonstration and lecturing,

using a step-by-step approach to completing a watercolor.

After basic tools are covered, students will work from a simple still life setup to create an artwork that stresses value, patterns and design.

Plenty of individual attention provided! 



Watercolor Paints:  raw sienna, lemon yellow, paynes grey, french ultramarine, burnt sienna, alizarin crimson, light red.  (Cheap Joe's Art Supply, American Journey (on line) or boxed colors from Job Lot.)
Watercolor Paper:  D'Arches #140 cold pressed (no substitutes)
Brushes:  Job Lot one card $6.99; 1 inch flat, #8 round cotman, hogs hair brush for removing paint
Palette with cover - John Pike- cheap Joe - Any will do must have cover.
Board Foam Core- Michaels or Job Lot
Othera: paper towels, Kleenex, 2 water containers, masking tape, cosmetic sponge, single edge razor blade, Kneeded eraser, #2 pencil
