Modular Origami Workshop
What artform has contributed to sending pictures back from space, developing airbags,
designing tiny medical devices, inspiring meditation and philosophy, maintaining brain health,
is studied and taught by college professors and yet is generally thought of as a child’s activity? Origami.
Origami is the art of paper-folding. This artform is over 1000 years old
and has its roots in Japan, China and Korea.
This workshop will introduce you to the basic folds from which all origami begins.
All participants will leave the workshop with a completed Sonobe modular piece
(made from 6, 12, 24 or 30 pieces).
*This one-day workshop is also offered on March 24. Click to sign up for this date instead.
