Creating Art Jewelry
Classes: Nov. 8, 15, 29 & Dec. 6, 13 (no class 11/22)
Make necklaces for yourself or for gifts!
Creating Art Jewelry is a hands-on class about color and design. You will be instructed in how to select your materials and accomplish your goals in creating your one-of-a kind jewelry. The type of beads, stones, crystals, glass, findings, etc. will be the unique choice of each student (rather than having the instructor arbitrarily choose a jewelry design for everyone in the class to make).
This class will focus on the basics: stringing with wire and beads, imaginative necklace design, color and material coordination, and learning about and helping refine your personal goals for learning this craft! (Yes! It’s all about YOU!)
The first class will be devoted to the art of this craft and its possibilities. Mary will use her experience in art jewelry creation to instruct, educate and demonstrate. In that class you will learn about the acquisition of materials that you will then purchase yourself and bring to the remaining five classes. Tools will be available for your use. No beads are provided. Bring beads if you already have them. Wire, crimp beads and toggle clasps will be provided for your use during the first meeting.
$5.00 supply fee included
