About
the Artist: Patt Weaver is a self
taught artist whose unique style has developed over the years from the
wild and elaborate drawings of her youth to the intricately detailed
pen and ink drawings and colorful paintings of today that symbolize the
interconnectedness of all things. Although preferring this stylized and
free flowing method of creating,her more realistic pen and ink
landscapes and home renderings have been popular. Patt worked as a
graphic artist for more than 25 years.
As an intuitive artist, Patt begins in the spirit of play--working
spontaneously--allowing pen, pencil or brush to lead the way--with no
preconceived plans--improvising, reacting but not dominating until
forms begin to emerge and a direction is determined--taking the lead,
she makes connections, exploits patterns, intensifies
colors--imagination running wild--a celebration of life.
