About
the Artist: Patricia McPherson had a
long career in architecture for the U.S. Government, which required
years of work in Europe. She studied and took workshops in England,
Germany, France, and Italy. While in England, she was granted
permission to copy works at the Fitzwilliam Museum at the University of
Cambridge. Here she studied the works of 17th century still life
painters, primarily Dutch, which continue to inspire her work to this
day.
Patricia's still life paintings have been included in numerous juried
shows, including the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club's 107th
exhibition at the National Arts Club in New York City. Her work was
featured in an article in elan Magazine, dated July/August 2000.
