About the Artist:
Why Fog?
Fog, Cloud, Mist. Why is it that water vapor in our atmosphere links
into our brains in such a strange way, producing evocative emotions?
Scenes that would be so prosaic in broad daylight take on such
mystery. Perhaps this fascination stemmed from my childhood summers
in Long Island? Fogs would roll in during the night, hiding the
whole world for the morning, then in mid-morning they would blow
out, exposing us to the raw sharpness of a noonday sun. I found much
more comfort in the fog than in its absence.
On this page I show some of my most recent work from Ireland and
Boston. Sizes shown are framed without mats. Inquire about custom
smaller sizes.
