SESSION 1 Sept. 19 – Oct. 28 Registration closes September 12th TUESDAY 9/20-10/25 (6 classes) BASIC DRAWING FOR TEENS with Terry Kole (ages 12-18) #C1220 M 4:30-6pm $95m/$105nm Come unravel the mysteries of great drawing. We'll work on proportion, perspective and shading using objects that will help you in the future as you try to draw your world. This class will lay a solid foundation and help you in any other art medium you will work in. WEDNESDAY 9/21-10/26 (6 classes) KID’S CLAY CLASS with KENDRA D’ANGORA (ages 8-13) #C1314A W 6:00-7:30 pm $95 m/$105 nm Clay is a wonderful medium to create creatures, pots and other ideas. Children will learn the basic building methods of clay to sculpt masterpieces. Wheel throwing is an option. Get ready to play dirty with clay! PSYCHO-SYMMETRY with Jill Voelker (ages 10-15) Three classes only #C1318 W 9/21, 9/28, 10/5 4:30-6:00pm $40m/$50nm What's in your psyche? Beginning with a simple measured structure, drawing freehand, each student begins to create a harmonious combination of parts expressing their own individual perspective and nature. The cultivation of mental focus and relaxation are natural results of this unexpected and surprising art exercise. It is fun to see what develops! This is for everyone! This will help you as you learn to develop your own cartoon style. From Garfield to Super Heroes...you choose who we will draw in this six-week course! THURSDAY 9/22-10/27 (6 classes) FIGURE ILLUSTRATION with Terry Kole (ages 9-18) #C1420 T 4:30-6pm $95m/ $105nm Want to learn how to draw your friends, actors, athletes? Bring a photo and Terry with show you how! There will be introduction to drawing faces and the human body, using ourselves and photos of people as our models, and then you’ll learn how to do a portrait of your subject. FRIDAY 9/30-11/4 (5/6 classes-see below) PAINTING WITH EXPRESSION! with SARAH BATES WASHBURN (age 8-15) #C1503 F 5:30-7:30 pm $108m/$118nm (6 classes – 9/30-11/4) In this super fun class, kids will learn basic techniques for abstract painting.
